Just outside the village of Megève, L’Alpaga Hotel & Chalets is a hamlet of 10 chalets facing Mont Blanc, the Alp’s highest mountain.

With its typical local architecture, beautifully renovated rooms, restaurants and spa,
L’Alpaga is a place of breathtaking views, where you can escape, rest, and head out onto the slopes.

From their wooden frames to their picture windows, the buildings that make up L’Alpaga respect their setting: a wondrous natural landscape of snowy mountain slopes and eternal peaks. Interiors are designed to recall the outdoors with wood – in forest green, grey blue, earth brown and burgundy – and marble, burnished leather and warm fabrics.

IN SITU

The surroundings set the scene, with interiors that feel inhabited by the natural landscape. Wooden panelling and linen hangings converse with herbarium images by Gwenaëlle Grandjean, vintage photographs of the resort by Karl Machatschek, and luminous mountain landscapes by painter Gabriel Micheletti.

At L’Alpaga, discover books, music and concerts inspired by Savoy, but also exploring wider horizons. The hotel is a showcase for archive magazines, vintage travel guides and mountain novels, which are joined by music in many forms and styles, including regular concerts.

With their surface area of 50m², the suites are ideal for families of four. The parental bedroom is composed of a double bed, while the children’s corner is fitted with a bunkbed.

This 80m2 suite can welcome 2 adults and 2 children. Located on the 1st floor of the chalet, the Prestige 1 bedroom Family Suite occupies the entire 1st floor of the chalet, ideal for 2 adults and children.

You arrive on a beautiful fitted kitchen open to the living room with 2 sofas giving a breathtaking view of Mont Blanc thanks to its large bay windows. You have a cozy relaxation area made up of 2 sofas, convertible into 2 single beds, and closing with a sliding door.

With their surface area of 90m², The Alpaga’s largest suite has three bedrooms and accommodates up to six people. Situated on the ground floor with a terrace and doorstep access to nature, it enjoys breathtaking views over Mont Blanc.

It is composed of three large bedrooms, two with double beds and one with twin beds, three bathrooms, separate toilets, an equipped kitchen open onto the living room and a wood burner. Designed as a private apartment, this suite exudes peace of mind and elegance.

LA TABLE DE L’ALPAGA

At La Table de L’Alpaga, plants take pride of place. Courgettes, wild thyme, peas, mint, flowers, direct from the garden, their delicate flavours and primary colours leading the way. Fish and meat follow, and with the usual order reversed, a distinctive style and an inspired vision of regional cuisine emerge. A delicate, yet powerful reinterpretation of Savoy.

LE BISTROT DE L’ALPAGA

More than just a simple bistro, this is a beautifully renovated and stylish and delicious dining experience. In a beautifully renovated dining room, chairs in untreated wood and velvet banquettes add to the cosy setting, while the menu is filled with imaginative reinterpretations of Savoy cuisine.

LE BAR DE L’ALPAGA

The bar at L’Alpaga is an inviting prospect, open 10am-10pm. Begin by taking in the views of the Alps, then discover the menu, its feet firmly planted in the terroir with herbs from the garden with local spirits, and regional snacks. A great mix.

BREAKFAST

From the windows of the Bistrot, the region is on full display. Local and generous, the offer follows early in the morning… From 7.30 to 10.30 am, between cold buffets and hot dishes, freshly squeezed juices, coffees, lattes, yoghurts from here, granola, marbled cakes, seasonal pies, delicatessen from Haute Savoie, eggs of all kinds, with or without fillings,… delight. Perfect for a good start to the day.

THE GOURMET OFFER

Not having to worry about where to have lunch or dinner. Enjoy the Haute Savoie in a variety of ways. Choose, for lunch or dinner, between the classic bourgeois dishes on the slate at the Bistrot de L’Alpaga or, for an extra charge, the fine cuisine of its starred Table. Feel more and more at home. Venture off-piste on snowshoes or cross-country skis around Mont Blanc.
Then relax with a book by the fire or head to the spa, and its massage-jet plunge pool. Moments of pure excitement or absolute repose.

L’Alpaga’s menus feature seasonal, local, generous and colourful food – which can be adapted to meet any dietary requirement. Like heirloom tomatoes with goat’s cheese and garden herbs, spelt risotto with girolles and pesto, or a daily smart water.

Matilda is a therapist specialising in Swedish massage, deep tissue, Lomi lomi, pregnancy, lymphatic drainage lymphatic drainage, Thai reflexology reflexology, Balinese massage and Abhyanga massage.
