Le Hameau Albert 1er

38 Route du Bouchet, 74400 Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France.

OVERVIEW

5-star, Relais & Chateaux, Le Hameau Albert 1er proposes a luxurious haven of tranquillity in the very heart of Chamonix, where the Carrier-Maillet family has been dedicated to providing charm, prestige, gastronomy and warm welcome to the mountain since 1903.

With an exceptional Mont Blanc panorama, the family-run ‘Hameau Albert 1er’ hotel proposes a journey through time, between alpine tradition and modernity, with six different lodgings available, offering various features and comforts.

Taking inspiration from the past and combining it with the future could well be the Hameau Albert 1er’s motto. For more than one hundred years, the Carrier family has been overseeing the destiny of the formerly named ‘Railway Guesthouse’ (Pension du Chemin de Fer) and relies strongly on its history to build its future. Over the years, the now, 5-star Hameau Albert 1er hotel has been tastefully refurbished with an emphasis on aesthetics and premium comfort.

Today, the Hameau Albert 1er, made up of chalets and a historical main building, resembles a small hamlet, nestled in a rustic garden, with a brook flowing between the fruit trees.

All that is left to do is choose the ambience of your room: contemporary or alpine tradition, pure white tones or the intimacy of old timber. From the comfort of your bed, everything around you tells a different story…

A spa that proposes personalised treatments

At our spa ‘Le Bachal’, our proposed treatments are designed to be personalised: a massage adapted to your body’s needs, a facial adapted to your skin type.

For the tailor-made composition of essential oil blends, we listen to our clients and take the time to exchange with them before proposing a treatment.

This means we are able to propose a suitably-adapted treatment according to our clients’ expectations, personality, wishes and the season. In the summer, anti-inflammatory rhododendron is used alongside juniper (ideal for circulation) and relaxing rose wood. In the winter, warmer spices such as cinnamon and bitter orange are favoured.

Nature’s virtues

Our aromatherapy, essential oils, dietary minerals and plants are all essential for giving your body the care and attention it deserves. The ‘Anne Semonin’ products we use are 100% eco-friendly and not only nourish the body but appease the mind.

Now in Chamonix, you can discover the benefits of grape-based oeno-cosmetic skincare routines with our proposal of grapeseed wraps, scrubs, drainage and massages. Here, at Le Hameau Albert 1er, vineyards play an important role in our spa as well as in our restaurants!
