Chamonix Mont-Blanc

Chamonix is world famous for its little town which is located at the foot of the Mont-Blanc, Europe’s highest mountain at 4,810m. In this video, we take you to the streets of Chamonix (winter), the ski areas and the most famous off piste ski run in the world: La Vallée Blanche.

This mountaineering and vibrant town offers a unique experience like no other with breathtaking views of the impressive Aiguilles Rouges, Aiguille du Midi, Aiguille du Dru, Aiguille Verte…

Skiing safely off-piste with a guide equipped with ropes, harness and crampons down the notorious “La Vallée Blanche” surrounded by beautiful ice caves is a unique experience you will remember for the rest of your life.

Chamonix’s scattered 5 ski areas of Grands Montets, Les Houches, Le Tour/Balme, La Flégère/Le Brévent (both linked) offers skiers and snowboarders a fantastic playground for all skiing abilities.

For off-pistes skiers, look no further, it is a thrill seeker’s paradise with so much off piste terrain and off course the most famous off-piste ski run in the world, “La Vallée Blanche” which finishes off with the iconic red Montenvers Mer de Glace cog wheel train down to Chamonix (must have lunch at Refuge du Montenvers – extraordinary views!).

Must See and Do in Chamonix

Catch the Brévent cable car to the summit (2,525m) for majestic panoramic views of Mont-Blanc and surrounding peaks (have lunch there). Non skiers also have access to the summit from Chamonix.

Catch the Aiguille du Midi cable car to the summit and ski down La Vallée Blanche with a guide before having lunch at le Refuge du Montenvers and taking the iconic and scenic Red train down to Chamonix.

Ski as many ski areas as you can during your stay (1 ski area per day recommended) as the view and scenary is breathtaking from all ski fields which also offer a great variety of skiing terrain.

Eat, drink, shop, relax in the beautiful town centre. We hope you like this video and find the information useful.
