Hotel Mont-Blanc – Megève

Located in the heart of the village and only 50m from Le Chamois gondola (main lift), this boutique hotel has regained its reputation under the creative impulsion of the Sibuet family, all the while respecting the spirit of pioneers past, including Georges Boisson and his many friends, including Jean Cocteau who named the restaurant: Les Enfants Terribles.

The Hotel Mont-Blanc, at the peak of hospitality for over a century boasts a past worthy of the greatest Parisian palaces…

At the time, Jean Cocteau had even nicknamed it “the twenty-first arrondissement of Paris”. The story goes that the hotel was a revolving door for an endless list of painters, singers and actors: Bernard Buffet, Sacha Distel, Jean Marais, Josephine Baker, Juliette Greco or Brigitte Bardot.

In 1960, Roger Vadim chose this already legendary hotel for the location to shoot his film adaptation of “Dangerous Liaisons” with Jeanne Moreau and Gérard Philippe. Frescoes and original drawings, lithographs, sculptures and quotes engraved in the wood are all nods to the heyday of Megève, to Jean Cocteau, to the artists and to the wild energy brought in by the 60s…

It is therefore a natural next step that Jocelyne Sibuet marks the decoration of the new Signature Suites in a vintage spirit, brilliantly reinterpreted in tribute to some of the hotel’s most familiar artists. All are different, exclusive, yet all help to create the new style of the Hotel Mont-Blanc: chic, artistic and couture.

The signature suites revisit the quintessential myth of this boutique hotel. Chic black, festive golden tones, fabrics with leopard print patterns, the forms and shapes are inspired by drawings of the poet, the Jean Cocteau Suites provide a feeling of well being deep in their style both exuberant and relaxing.

In a setting of blond wood patina enhanced by Missoni fabrics or in shades of soft colors accented with warm and silky tweed, the Sacha Distel and Jeanne Moreau Suites are the ultimate in refinement. Elegance has found its home in the heart of the Alps…

On the garden side, the indoor pool, Jacuzzi and sauna open under the soft rays of winter sun. A few steps down, four igloo treatment rooms, all dressed in snowy walls, invite a well-being break in a unique world of purity, snow and ice.

The tea room “Le Georges” is known for the richness of its menu and its artisanal hot chocolates to be enjoyed upon return from the slopes, and for its transformation into a Champagne bar at dusk… This tea room, in homage to Georges Boisson who revived the hotel in 1949, offers a range of great Champagnes, served in the cozy atmosphere of an English tea room…

Top snow travel was an excellent service. This past winter (3-7-2026 ) was my first time outside the U.S. Over a Zoom meeting with Gilles I explained to him what I wanted in my trip and he took care of the rest. He stayed in touch via email answering any questions with a timely response despite the time difference. Once I selected a package, he put together an itinerary that was easy to follow making my travels simple. I would use Top Snow Travels service again and recommend their services. Thank you Gilles.

Gilles and Top Snow took care of all aspects of our trip - ground transfers, lodging, lift passes, lessons, rentals - making the trip stress-free. Gilles also provided a lot of guidance on choosing the right resort to visit for our family and 5-year-old grandson. And Arc 1950 didn't disappoint! The best pedestrian only, ski-in, ski-out resort we've stayed in and we've been to a few. Very happy we used Top Snow and would recommend them for skiing the French Alps!

Had such a great Christmas & New Years ski trip at Les Arc 1950 all thanks to Gillies and the Top Snow Travel team!! Perfect ski in/out accommodation which was spacious for the family (kids loved the pool after a days skiing). All mountain transfers, trains, ski hire and lift tickets sorted - we literally didn’t have to think about anything or stress ourselves out (especially coming from the other side of the world with young kids!). Perfect recommendations for dinners and other snow activities. Les Arc 1950 was perfect choice 🙏 such a cute village and it really topped our French Alps stay! We’ll be sure to use Gillies when we return with the extended family in the future!

Gilles did a terrific job with our ski trip. We had 10 families go over to France for a birthday trip in January this year. Not all the families used Gilles but the ones that did, including ours, were very happy with his service. I knew which resort we wanted to go to but Gilles was fantastic at selecting and booking the accommodation (which was amazing) as well as suggesting and booking restaurants. He made everything run smoothly and i wouldn't hesitate to use him again on our next European ski holiday.

Gilles and Top Snow Travel are the best! Our group of six can be picky and demanding, and Gilles built a trip that took care of us all in Courchevel 1850. Prompt, knowledgeable, and patient, it was a pleasure to work with Top Snow Travel. We were especially impressed with Gilles ability to work with the hotel(s) to accommodate our groups specific needs (and wow, le K2 Palace was amazing). Everything from transportation to ski guides to accommodations all happened like clockwork. We highly recommend Top Snow Travel and look forward to working with Gilles for our next French Alps ski trip!

Top Snow Travel did an excellent job orchestrating and planning our family ski vacation to the French Alps. From the very beginning, Gilles was incredibly responsive, patient, and helpful in tailoring the trip to our specific needs—especially traveling with a young child and wanting an authentic European village experience. Arc 1950 was a great choice for our family, with a charming town center and a fantastic location. While weather and snow conditions were challenging at times (completely out of anyone’s control), Top Snow’s planning and support made the trip as smooth as possible. A true highlight of our vacation was the private transfer arranged by Top Snow. Our driver, Sam (the owner of the car service), was outstanding—professional, safety-focused, and proactive. His advice to leave early due to weather concerns turned out to be absolutely the right call, and we are very grateful for his careful drive to Geneva. Overall, Top Snow Travel delivered exactly what they promised: thoughtful planning, excellent communication, and dependable partners on the ground. Gilles was a pleasure to work with and always quick to answer questions. Despite some uncontrollable weather challenges, our family had a great experience, and I would absolutely recommend Top Snow Travel to anyone planning a ski trip to the French Alps.

And if you’re more of a festive mood, George turns on the charm after 6pm, when it transforms into a champagne bar, offering a selection of fine bubblies to taste accompanied by caviar and the finest foie gras that will delight those with an epicurean flair. Pure altitude spa

  • 4 treatment rooms
  • Sauna
  • Jacuzzi
  • Indoor swimming pool
  • Relaxation room

The Hôtel Mont-Blanc Spa has been designed to steep the atmosphere in “sweet altitude”. Inspired by ice floes, the Spa takes on the role of a glacier and plays freely with cold and hot contrasts.

This polar atmosphere will enchant you with the well-being that it inspires. You enter a space that is “as white as snow”, where the colour of purity is given pride of place. To enhance the frosty ambiance, mirrors are used to represent cascades of ice.

It is as if time has stood still, like stalactites, to fix the best of the present: the cabins are like igloos, lamps like snowballs and the walls are covered with snow crystals. A harmony of white, in reference to Mont Blanc, the mythical summit, with its snow as everlasting as your beauty.

And for your comfort, enjoy an indoor pool swimming in natural light, a Jacuzzi for relaxing, a sauna to relieve stress, fatigue and toxins and a fitness area for the perfect warm up before you take on the slopes.
