Chalet Alaska is a luxury chalet in the heart of Chamonix. Making up one of the chalets in Hameau des Plan, the chalet can sleep up to 13 people at full capacity.
- This brand new and highly exclusive hamlet of three chalets is located in a prime spot, just at the entrance of Chamonix centre.
Similarly to its neighbouring chalets, Chalet Alaska has a large open plan living area with views across the surrounding mountains. On one side of the room you have the cosy lounge area, with enough space to seat the whole group, and on the other side of the room is the kitchen and dining area. The fireplace is centrally located, with the wooden beams and high vaulted ceiling being another feature of this space. From either areas, walk out onto the large balcony to experience the extraordinary views of the Chamonix Valley. This is the perfect space for alfresco dining thanks to the outdoor table and chairs.
The kitchen in Chalet Alaska is a bright and airy, with multiple windows letting the light flood in. In the centre of the kitchen, there is a island with plenty of space for prepping evening meals or for laying out a selection foods for everyone to enjoy. Following through from the kitchen, is the large wooden dining table and bench seats – the perfect spot for everyone to come together to enjoy a delicious meal.
At the back of the chalet, there is a large terrace with loungers, and a cedar hot tub. At the front of the chalet on the lower floor, there is another terrace with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. For those who would rather relax inside, then there is a separate TV area, which can be converted into a bedroom if extra guests would like to join. This room is off of the living area and has sliding doors for sound proof and privacy. It also enjoys and en-suite.
In total, Chalet Alaska has five bedrooms and can sleep up to 13 people. On the ground floor, there are three double bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms and a bedroom with two bunk beds, sleeping up to four people. This bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom. On the top floor of the chalet, there is a mezzanine bedroom with three single beds and en-suite shower room. The skylight windows are a lovely feature to this room.
For convenience, there is a garage with ski racks and boot warmers, and an elevator for access between each of the floors. There is also air conditioning installed to each bedroom should it be required.
Chalet Alaska can be taken with Chalet Azurite and Chalet Saphir to create Le Hameau des Plans, with space to sleep up to 41 guests.

Booking Conditions
These Booking Conditions set out the terms on which you contract with us for the arrangement and coordination of delivery of travel arrangements for your trip. By making a booking with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Booking Conditions. We reserve the right to change these Booking Conditions at any time prior to you making a booking request.

Deposit
A 50% deposit per person, is payable upon us accepting your booking. Please note that we may not hold any services for you until we receive payment of your deposit, meaning that services may become unavailable or prices may increase, in which case you will be responsible for paying the increased price, and we will not be responsible if services become unavailable. Some arrangements may require full payment at the time of booking. We will advise you of this if this is the case.
Final Payment
Payment in full must be received no less than 90 days before commencement of your trip. Note: some trips or particular arrangements may require payment earlier or in additional instalments and this will be advised with the booking confirmation.
If you fail to make payment by the due date, we will remind you to make payment. In addition to the payment, you will also be responsible for any costs imposed on us by suppliers resulting from late payment. If we do not receive payment within 7 days after the reminder, you will be deemed to have cancelled your booking.
Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your booking by giving written notice to us. Cancellation fees and charges will be levied as follows:
- any amounts we have paid or have contractually committed to pay to third parties to deliver your travel arrangements which we cannot reasonably recover or not incur (for example payments made or due to third parties for accommodation, transfers, lift passes, ski rental, ski lessons, hire vehicles, and any other elements comprising your travel arrangements);
- a fee equal to the deposit or 25% of the booking value (whichever is the greater) to compensate us for work performed and associated overheads up until the time of cancellation (including work performed in connection with your travel arrangements prior to your booking) and our loss of expected profit; and
- a fee equal to AUD $330 or 5% of the booking value (whichever is the greater) to compensate us for processing the cancellation and any associated refund.
Cancellation fees and charges will not exceed payments received by us at the time of cancellation. If after the application of these fees and charges there is a surplus of payments you have made to us, we will refund this to you within a reasonable time.
Any payments we have made to third parties will only be refunded to you once we have deducted the above cancellation fees and charges and once we have actually recovered the amounts from the third parties. As we will be subject to third party terms and conditions, we make no guarantee that we will be able to make recoveries.
For group departures, a transfer of a confirmed booking to another departure date is deemed to be cancellation of the original booking.
